GAR Shortlists ICANN Ruling for Most Important Decision of 2017 Award

October 2015 – Chambers Latin America has released its 2016 rankings, and Chaffetz Lindsey’s International Arbitration team has again been recognized as one of the top tier firms for its work across the region.  Categorized by the publication as a “deeply respected dispute resolution boutique with a solid footing in the Latin American market,” Chaffetz Lindsey was noted for standout expertise with sovereign disputes and strong offerings this year in Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.  Additionally, the firm was acknowledged for maintaining “strong working relationships with a number of local counsel.”  One client told researchers, “I am always very impressed with the team; these are very sophisticated lawyers.”

Several of the firm’s international arbitration team members were ranked individually. February 2015 – Chaffetz Lindsey Partner Anibal Sabater has been short-listed for the 2015 GAR Awards in the Best Prepared/Most Responsive Arbitrator category. The winner will be announced at the 5th Annual GAR Awards ceremony in Washington, DC on February 25th. Aníbal has sat in over 25 multi-million dollar arbitrations to date, and he is frequently called to act as a neutral. Anibal joined Chaffetz Lindsey as a partner in January 2015 from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was a partner in their Houston and New York offices. February 2014 – Chaffetz Lindsey has once again been recognized in the annual GAR 100. The GAR 100 is a guide to the international arbitration capabilities and experience of law firms around the world, and given the publication’s focus on practice in this area, it is considered to be one of the most imporant surveys of this market. September 2012 – Chaffetz Lindsey’s work in Latin America has been recognized once again in two leading industry guides – Chambers Latin America and Legal 500 Latin America. The firm’s partners have been active in the region for over two decades, representing clients based in the region and international clients investing there across a varety of disputes.
